Deshaies - Anse Riflet beach

Anse RiffletThe beach Anse Rifflet the town of Deshaies, between the beach Grande Anse and the Perle Beach. On the roadside, explanatory panels indicate that the beach Anse Rifflet is a protected nesting site for marine turtles. Hawksbill and green turtles frequent this beach. The leatherback was observed more rarely. The layout of this beach has been constructed to comply with the land phase of sea turtles. When we know that the view is the most important sense for a turtle lay eggs comes, (it runs, after laying, to the light of the moon reflected on the  sea) we can understand why, for example, the lamps, along this beach are equipped with shutters, so as not to disorient the turtles ...
